Saigon Vietnam is Vietnam's food capital. District 2 or Thao Dien is one of my favourite areas for Vietnamese street food. It is a trendy expat area but you can find amazing street food here, especially for breakfast. I start with a roadside Vietnamese noodle dish called Bún Thịt Nướng, where uncle is grilling the pork skewers over coals in front of me. Next, I have an incredible banh mi. Bánh Mì is one of my favourites in Ho Chi Minh City. I eat it at a coffee shop where I have a Vietnamese coffee. Later I find a street stall selling Banh Cuon before finishing up with gourmet homemade ice cream. This Vietnamese breakfast food tour in Saigon was a lot of fun to film and hope you enjoy the video.

SAIGON, VIETNAM - Welcome to Ho Chi Minh City, also known as Saigon! It’s my first time in Vietnam, and I’m diving into the heart of Saigon to explore the vibrant street food scene. In this video, I take a walk through District 2 in Thao Dien, hunting down some of the best Vietnamese street food for an unforgettable experience. Saigon is busier and more energetic than I expected, and stepping out of my comfort zone made this adventure even more exciting. 

Join me as I try some classic Vietnamese dishes, starting with an incredible bowl of pho, which truly deserves to be called the best pho in Saigon. Next up, I sample a delicious banh mi, packed with fresh flavors that Saigon is famous for. I even stumble upon an amazing American-style cookie that I couldn’t resist! To top it all off, I enjoy bun ca, a flavorful fish noodle soup from a humble street vendor in Thao Dien that was shockingly good.
