This week, Matt Larson taught through John 1:6-18. God sent John the Baptist into the world to testify of Jesus, the True Light of the world. Though people rejected Jesus, then and now, whoever receives Jesus is given the right to become the children of God. He gives us the ability to choose righteousness by the power of his Spirit and not what our sinful nature desires. Our motivation is to go out into the world, so everyone would hear the name of Jesus and would receive Him, and be able to live the godly life that God desires for us.
