John 2. Day 207 - The New Testament in a Year

Water to Wine.  Jesus Clears the Temple.  Jesus's Body is the Temple. 

"After making a whip out of cords, he drove everyone out of the temple with their sheep and oxen. He also poured out the money changers’ coins and overturned the tables."  John 2:15

Have you ever thought about how Jesus transforms the ordinary into the extraordinary? In John Chapter 2, we witness the first of His miracles—the turning of water into wine at a wedding in Cana. Jesus reveals His divine power and care for even the smallest needs. But His power doesn’t stop there; later, He clears the temple in a display of righteous anger, calling out the misuse of a place meant for worship. As we explore this chapter, we’ll see how Jesus is both a provider and protector of what is sacred.

As we reflect on these events, we are challenged to trust Jesus with our everyday needs, remove distractions from our worship, and remember that God's timing is perfect even when we don't fully understand His words. This chapter helps us grow in our relationship with Christ, reminding us to guard our hearts, trust in His promises, and make room for true worship in our lives.
