We finally made it to John 3:16! It's such a famous verse. It is essential to take it in context with the rest of Jesus's conversation with Nicodemus. 

In this verse, we see that God is the primary actor; He is the one who saves us. Our natural path is one of death - of God's wrath. We must be saved from this. It is only through Jesus that we can be saved. No other path leads to salvation. We must believe in Jesus and Him alone!

John 3:16

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.
