A playlist for acoustic, quick and dirty versions of newly self-written songs. Mainly to remember what they sound like, the melodies and scanning (with some wordy lyrics). In the past I have come back to songs written years previously, which never became part of my regular choice for singing. They will often be arranged for guitar now that I am using a guitar again. This makes it even more necessary to store them as I can mix up the harmonies - guitar and uke use the same chord shapes but ukes are tuned a fourth higher than the guitar. Changing keys can be a tricky proposition on the go.

Another in the short series of songs which I originally posted on You Tube. This one is an original song, ripped from the video and remixed to (hopefully) improve the overall sound.

A complete change of direction for me with this song. Actually an old song (80's) but I wanted to experiment with my guitar pedal chain which includes overdrive & distortion pedals. So far, I had not used my new toy(s) to their full extent and this gave me an opportunity to let rip.

An updated version of this old original song, with my new red Franken partscaster guitar. I have not been playing guitar for a few years and am currently trying to catalogue my old songs, so not looking for professional quality recording - yet, I may replace the file in the near future.

This is one of a series of eight tracks which I recorded back in the early years of my writing. I captured these songs on a digital camera with video capabilities. I was happy with most but one or two should have been given another take - I suggest, you may think more. But things are what they are. I have stripped the audio track from the video (original video on my You tube channel) and posted them on Soundcloud close to 10 years ago. I have now available, the ability to edit and manipulate the audio tracks. Just for purely personal reasons (makes them sound better ????) and have now posted them on SoundCloud as a remix. Hope you like it.

A cover of what has become to be known as an Irish folk song due to its success when recorded by The Fureys. It was actually written by an american and has been covered by many singers. This is a revisited recording of mine, from the 1970s. Remixed to improve bass/treble balance and add reverb.
