I observe how Bill moves, speaks, stands and what comes through his eyes to better understand him as a human. I feel that it is easy to hate someone or something we do not understand. As a leader I feel a responsibility to attempt to genuinely understand someone. This does not mean excuse actions or abdicate my authority, it means that in order to grow a container of love and compassion; there is a requirement to walk in the shoes of another.
