John King is known as a legend and a pioneer of the recording industry, and you're in for a real treat hearing him speak on his history. In the early 1980's when hiphop was not being taken seriously by the mainstream, Russell Simmons and Rick Rubin founded Def Jam, and the man who engineered all of those early records from The Beastie Boys, Run DMC, and LL Cool J was none other than John King. John's recording space in Chinatown got dubbed the name Chung King, and that studio which has moved multiple times is known to many as the Abbey Road of Hiphop. The rest is history.

Chung King Studios has recorded, mixed, and mastered legendary artists of the past 4 decades including Lady Gaga, Beyonce, Jay-Z, and countless others. John tells some classic stories from over the years, and also gives his take on what The Power of Thought means to him.
