John & Tammy: San Diego's Morning Show

When we said we will have live music this morning, we meant it! Not only did John perform, we also had the Santana High School Pep Band come out and perform "Old Town Road"!

It wasn't just a party this morning for John and Tammy's Food Fund in La Mesa, it was a CIRCUS!!! We were joined by Margarita and Jules to be our official KSON stilt walkers and they told us how they got into this unique hobby. 

We were so thankful to Frazier Farms for letting us camp out in front of their La Mesa store to collect donations for the San Diego Food Bank during the Food Fund this year. Not only did they support, but they also had GREAT food each morning we got to chow down on. We talked to Matt Frazier this morning about their La Mesa market and their family fun business. 

10 years ago KSON Loyal Listener Mike Harris started a small donation drive with his motorcycle club to collect toys for Toys 4 Tots. Now it has grown to the largest single-day donation drive for Toys 4 Tots in San Diego. The drive continues this Sunday at the Del Mar Fairgrounds. Mike joined us this morning to talk about this year's event. 

To finish our 2023 Food Fund strong, John decided he needed to do something big. So he wrote a song with local musician Davy Rockett just for the San Diego Food Bank and premiered it this morning! 

It was Pete Davidson's birthday yesterday.  Is he younger or older than 27 years old? 

Jeremy Renner's long road to recovery has reached its 10th month, and The Avengers star showed off his progress in a new video posted to Instagram yesterday.  What avenger is Renner?
