A couple of months ago, listener Heather called in to discuss her ongoing struggle with her job search. This morning she called in with a big update. Not long after we chatted she got her job! Could talking to John and Tammy have done the trick?

At Opening Day yesterday we met many amazing listeners. That included Emily who is an avid listener to the show, but she's not the only one in the house. Her DOG is also loves John and Tammy! Are we the #1 canine morning show in San Diego?!?

We all have those people that we would completely fan girl over if we met in person. For most of us, it's a major celebrity. For John, It's chefs. Any chef at any restaurant is like a rock star to him. So when he finally got a chance to meet the chef at his favorite spot he had a hard time getting out a coherent sentence. But don't worry, John isn't the only one to embarrass himself. Tammy has a story too!

Last summer, El Cajon native Jeff Brady lost his life while saving two young boys from drowning. The story of his actions garnered significant attention and led to him being posthumously awarded the Carnegie Medal. This morning we spoke to Jeff's brother about this honor and how they are keeping his legacy alive.

John got a vintage beer cup and he's pretty sure it will bring the luck for the new season. It's from the 1998 World Series and Tammy has some questions. Does a luck really come from an item that celebrates losing the World Series?
