The wise men worship the newborn King, Herod rages in jealousy, and Jesus amazes the teachers in the temple at age twelve. But as John the Baptist appears in the wilderness, a single word takes center stage: repent. From John’s preaching to Jesus’ own ministry, to the apostles after His resurrection, the gospel begins with repentance. God calls His people not only to confess sin but to turn from it, proving transformed lives by the good they do. The same call reaches us today: repent and turn to God.
