Key scripture: John 16:16-22

In John 16 Jesus teaches that the crushing grief of the crucifixion will be supernaturally transformed into the "unsinkable joy" of the resurrection. Using the metaphor of childbirth, Jesus illustrates how the coming renewal of all things in Christ provides a hope so certain and permanent that it can reframe even the most life-altering pains and disappointments.
