Johnny and Elizabeth and their daughter Justice filmed a Q+A video specifically for the purpose of answering questions our audience sent in!
Chris Kuehl, COO of Restore7, interviews Benji Nolot who is the founder of Exodus Cry. ------- "Pornography is the marketing of the human trafficking industry" "For slavery to be abolished, it took white men standing up against other white men on behalf of black men. For human trafficking to end it is going to take bold men standing up against broken men on behalf of women." "Pornography is impossible to partake in when you humanize the person. When you think that this woman has a story, a father, a family, emotions, and at one point she had dreams of her own--the more you humanize a person, the less you can objectify them." -------- Exodus Cry is committed to abolishing sex trafficking and breaking the cycle of commercial sexual exploitation while assisting and empowering its victims. The organization has worked both nationally and internationally training abolitionists in outreach, hosting governmental screenings of our documentary Nefarious, and reaching women bound in sexual exploitation. Trafficking is one component of a much larger system of violence, exploitation, and gender inequality known as the commercial sex industry. Exodus Cry’s strategies are designed to assist, empower, and help bring freedom to those who have been victimized, while also fighting to uproot the larger system of injustice and exploitation that made it possible. https://traffickinghub.com/ https://exoduscry.com/
Chris Kuehl, COO of Restore7, interviews Brad Riley who is the president and founder of iEmpathize—an organization that equips adults to empower youth to eradicate exploitation. -------------------------------------------------- The story of iEmpathize: After learning of and encountering the atrocities of human trafficking, several socially-minded creative activists partnered together to start iEmpathize. We came from varied backgrounds with varied skills sets, but each understood that because exploitation is all around us, we all can and should do something to engage it. The core values and methodologies championed by iEmpathize grew out of our collective experiences working with vulnerable youth and what we learn from others making a difference. We have learned that empathy-driven responses at local levels are most effective and while our projects have spanned the globe, our commitment to community-based partnership and empowerment continues to drive our work. Our programs empower youth and adults alike with active empathy and always prioritize prevention. -------------------------------------------------- We also highly recommend watching the documentary Be Relentless (2017)—the story of a Mexican human trafficking survivor who teamed up with iEmpathize to break the Guinness World Record for the longest triathlon as an anthem for survivors and for empathetic engagement: http://berelentlessmovie.com/
We are honored to introduce our audience to a dear friend and kingdom comrade, Marcus Young of In-Fire Ministry. He has amazing perspective on this important issue, as well as incredible stories of breakthrough.
