Megaforce co-founder Jon Zazula — who launched the iconic label, which released the first albums from Metallica, Anthrax and many others, with his wife Marsha in 1982 — died on Tuesday Feb. 1. He passed away in Florida surrounded by his brother, daughters, grand-daughters and friends; he was 69.

Tonight Jon "The Vernomatic'' Verno welcomes Carl Canedy of the NY power metal band THE RODS on to reflect on JOHNNY Z's Life in and out of the metal arena. 

Canedy and Zazula have been friends for over 40 years. Forming both a professional and personal relationship. Canedy reflects back on a friendship that  started in the metal community, but turned the two into "FAMILY".
