Welcome to Season 2 Empire ! Today Johnny discusses his family life, & being a pastor's kid. Johnny talks about what it's like being a pastor as he lived through being a son of one. As he reflects on his father's journey, Johnny realizes why he is so passionate about his job himself. Johnny explains the church's hierarchy and who can hire and fire pastors. He also talks about his father being fired wrongfully, and how it instilled Johnny with a sense of climbing to the top no matter what, because no one in this life is going to give you anything, you have to go out there and take it. Johnny understands this now, because of the reflection on his father's trials and tribulations. He also discusses why he will do things his father would never and could never do, and why he always goes into everything with the mindset that people will always try to take you down if you are successful at what you do.
