Johnson Ferry Sermons

This week, we see Jesus enter the wilderness, where He is tempted for 40 days. As we explore the ways Jesus faced temptation, we are reminded of the temptations we face in our own lives. Unlike Adam, Jesus, the perfect Son of God, overcomes temptation and remains faithful to the Father. Through His victory over sin, we are reminded that we, too, can resist temptation through Him.

This week, we look at the life of John the Baptist as he calls the Jewish people into the wilderness to be baptized, preparing the way for Jesus and His coming ministry. Through John's message, we explore the relationship between repentance and the fruit it produces, learning that while our good works do not save us, they serve as evidence of genuine repentance and a transformed life.

As we continue journeying through the Gospel of Luke, we find Jesus as a young boy at the temple. Even at a young age, Jesus knew exactly who He was and why He had come. This week, we'll explore how understanding Jesus' identity helps us better understand our own identity in Him.

As we begin a new sermon series walking through the Gospel of Luke, we start by asking some important questions: Who is Luke? Who is Theophilus? Throughout this series, we'll explore the life and ministry of Jesus, uncovering key themes and stories that help us better understand His character and mission and answer one central question: Who is Jesus?

This week, we wrap up our Forward Together series and recommit to the vision God has given Johnson Ferry. As we look at 2 Corinthians 9, we’re reminded that generosity is about more than what we give. It’s about faithfully sowing, stewarding what God has entrusted to us, and continuing in the good work He has called us to, all for His glory and to make much of Him.

This week, we continue our Forward Together series as we look at what can hold us back from generosity and what true, biblical generosity looks like. Together, we’ll discover how generosity flows from a heart that treasures God, recognizes His provision, and desires to be part of what He is doing.

This week, we begin a new but familiar series, Forward Together, as we revisit our two-year vision for the future of Johnson Ferry and consider how we can continue to faithfully steward all God has entrusted to us. Clay begins by leading us toward a biblical view of generosity.

As we wrap up our sermon series, Handcrafted, Pastor Clay takes us to Acts 22 and the story of Saul’s conversion. Through his story, we’ll discover five distinct ways God uses every part of our story for His purpose and how nothing in our lives is ever wasted in His hands.
