Hey, guys. I'm back from an inadvertent holiday hiatus and talking about rediscovering my passion for music. BandLab has been taking all my attention lately, but has been a fantastic creative outlet. Tune in to hear a new song I recently wrote and recorded.

After a very healing and long overdue conversation with my father on Thanksgiving Day, I was reminded that everyone has their reasons for doing things. I believe most people are doing the best they can to navigate through life with the cards that they were dealt. In this episode, I touch on that idea a bit. I also introduce a newly produced theme song, as well as a song I lyrically wrote to accompany a fantastic musical track by Niccolo Yarael from BandLab.

Online reviews can very helpful. People share their good and bad experiences publicly so that others can get a nice idea of what's going on at particular businesses and/or establishments. Courtesy of Yelp and TripAdvisor, I share some of the worst and funniest reviews out there in these segments. You'll also hear me explain how this podcast will be a little different from now on. This episode is a big, scary step towards getting past that. In the next 26 minutes, you'll hear me open up and talk about my childhood, the relationship I had with my father as a kid, how that has drastically changed, and the impression that my past has made on the present. I also candidly speak about my failed relationships, my love for being alone, and what recent event inspired this particular thought process. Enjoy.

This particular phrase was stolen directly from Ted Danson. It is something that I heard in an episode of one of my favorite podcasts (Armchair Expert with Dax Shepard), that not only describes the iconic actor's NBC sitcom, but also kind of describes parenting. At least for me, anyway. In this short episode, I share some of the not so picture perfect realities of parenting.

ln this 15 minute segment, I propose a new perspective regarding competition. I have experienced tremendous self growth competing with myself, instead of competing with others. It's so easy to get caught up in the rat race and lose track of the big picture; of being a decent human, even. Tune in to hear some ideas on how to continually make forward progress.
