Cs: V zimě, kdy venkovní krajina vypadala jako pohádkové království, se střední škola zdobila světýlky a vánočními girlandami.
En: In the winter, when the outdoor landscape looked like a fairy tale kingdom, the high school was decorated with lights and Christmas garlands.

Cs: Studenti byli plní očekávání, protože se blížil zimní ples.
En: The students were full of anticipation because the winter dance was approaching.

Cs: Mezi nimi byla Jolana, která byla vždy skromná, tichá a ztracená ve světě literatury a hudby.
En: Among them was Jolana, who was always modest, quiet, and lost in the world of literature and music.

Cs: Jolana měla kamarády, Marka a Lucii, kteří ji občas povzbudili vyjít ze své ulity.

Cs: Ale v srdci cítila, že musí být odvážná.
En: But in her heart, she felt she needed to be brave.

Cs: Koupila si šaty, které jí dovolily vyjádřit její pravé já.
En: She bought the dress that allowed her to express her true self.

Cs: Když nastal den plesu, přišla na školu v těch zářivých šatech.
En: When the day of the dance arrived, she came to the school in that dazzling dress.

Cs: Okamžitě přitáhla pohledy a úsměvy od ostatních studentů.
En: She immediately attracted glances and smiles from the other students.

En: She had never felt stronger.

En: It was a night when Jolana gained more than just a dress.

En: She gained confidence in herself.

Cs: A kdykoli se cítila nesvá, vzpomněla si na tuhle zázračnou noc.
