Most fresh food comes with a “best before” date, but Amsterdam-based Canadian designer Agata Jaworska thinks it should be marked “ready by.” Her concept: packaging in which food can keep growing during shipping to the supermarket so that it arrives ready to be harvested, in a state of optimum freshness. from Made-in-Transit Packaging, TIME’s picks for the top innovations of 2008 must admit that when I first came across the Made-in-Transit concept it was through a video – which by the way is very well done in that it is unique, distinguishable and without a doubt memorable. The premise behind Made-in-Transit is fairly straight forward in that certain perishable goods could be distributed more reliably from a quality standpoint while simultaneously reducing the costs associated with current “preserve” methods of production and distribution. What is also interesting is that the visionary genius behind the concept Agata Jaworska, has demonstrated a rare character trait in that she not only acknowledges detractors of her idea but welcomes their input. More specifically, in a December 7th, 2007 article titled “Made in Transit: The end of the factory?” she openly acknowledges the fact that experts from the world of academia and industry have raised valid questions regarding potential problems such as the impact of vibrations during transport on mushrooms at various stages of growth. I am happy to say that Agata will be joining us today via telephone from Amsterdam to talk about her acclaimed vision and what she foresees in terms of its ultimate implementation.

Cabinet Office minister, Francis Maude, speaking at a meeting attended by 31 major government suppliers including BT, Hewlett Packard, IBM and CapGemini, claimed that large-scale bespoke IT systems -- many of which have gone significantly over budget in the past -- would henceforth be replaced by less expensive and "off the shelf" offerings.

In this replay of an interview from the PI Inquisitive Eye TV Channel, I talk with 30 year public sector veteran and author of the seminal paper "Towards Tesco - improving public sector procurement" Colin Cram regarding the early December announcement by the UK Government that the days of over-arching, over-budget automation initiatives that have historically cost taxpayers tens of millions of dollar while failing to deliver the promised savings is over.

Does this spell the end for large IT/ERP vendors, as the leaner and more technologically advanced Software-as-a-Service "SaaS" vendors move up the chain in terms of being viable alternative?

Financial infidelity is a term used to describe the secretive act of spending money, possessing credit and credit cards, holding secret accounts or stashes of money, borrowing money, or otherwise incurring debt unknown to one’s spouse, partner, or significant other. Adding to the monetary strain commonly associated with financial infidelity in a relationship is a subsequent loss of intimacy and trust in the relationship. Financial infidelity appears to be on the rise, with a 2005 study showing that 30% of respondents had lied about financial information and 25% had withheld information, whereas a 2008 study showed that half the respondents had committed some form of financial infidelity. Fast forward to the present and according to a December 7th, 2010 CNN report at least 80% of spouses conceal or hide purchases from their significant other. Regardless of whether it is an outright lie or one by omission, coupled with a recent American Express Poll which indicated that “91 percent of those surveyed avoided discussing money issues with their spouse or significant other,” would seem to provide a clear indication that the state of “matrimonial business” is generally speaking in big trouble. Matrimonial business you might ask? Well according to Dr. Jackie Black, finances in marriage should be treated in the same manner as finances in business and, as such when two people tie the knot it is tantamount to the merger of two independent companies where full and honest disclosure is a legal pre-requisite as part of the due diligence process. During tonight's 60 minute special, 3 couples will join Dr. Jackie on-line for 3 separate 15 minute couple-on-doctor sessions in which they will air their issues relative to financial indiscretions, with Dr. Jackie offering her insights and expertise on how they can take that all important first step towards a resolution and in the process regain lost trust.

In April 2010, WikiLeaks posted video from a 2007 incident in which Iraqi civilians and journalists were killed by U.S. forces, on a website called Collateral Murder. In July of the same year, WikiLeaks released Afghan War Diary, a compilation of more than 76,900 documents about the War in Afghanistan not previously available for public review. In October, the group released a package of almost 400,000 documents called the Iraq War Logs in coordination with major commercial media organisations. In November 2010, WikiLeaks began releasing U.S. State department diplomatic cables. (Source: Wikipedia) Question . . . is this truly a violation of national security and is thus an act of espionage or, does it fall under a freedom of information type act based on the public's right to know? Joining me to answer this as well as other questions is Richard Stiennon author of Surviving Cyber War and the security blog ThreatChaos.com. Richard it should be noted is a holder of Gartner’s Thought Leadership award and was named “one of the 50 most powerful people in Networking” by Network World Magazine.

“The tender years doctrine suggests that “where a child is of such tender age as to require the care and attention that a mother is especially fitted [sic] to bestow upon it, the mother, rather than the father, is presumed to be the proper custodian, unless for some reason she is unfit for the trust.”48 This presumption ultimately established a maternal preference in the twentieth century, where, absent a showing of unfitness, the mother automatically received custody of children below a certain age. This policy eventually surpassed the paternal preference in child custody awards.” While the tender years doctrine, which has been around since the 19th century, has at least on the surface given way to newer supposedly more progressive thinking such as the best interests of the child and the primary caregiver standards, based on actual data from the U.S. Census Bureau it appears that old habits or in this case ingrained doctrines are not easily relinquished by the courts. In short, while fathers must pursue an uphill battle in terms of proving the mother to be an unfit parent before he is awarded primary custody, the mother need not prove the father unfit in order to win custody herself. Putting aside the fact that this is a direct violation of the Equal Protection Clause in the Fourteenth Amendment of the U.S. Constitution, one cannot help but wonder if this skewed view of parental capability leaves the courts vulnerable to manipulation by women with a hidden agenda? One case that immediately comes to mind is that of a successful dentist living in Florida about whom we will be talking this evening. Joining me this evening to talk about this case as well as "the tender trap" doctrine in general is renown criminal profiler Pat Brown and The Cop Doc Richard Weinblatt.

The pendulum of course swings both ways as men such as the infamous "Con Juan" Martin Berres, who pursued lovelorn women online only to swindle them out of their savings, was recently sentenced to2 1/2 years in a Manhattan court room.

One can only assume that given the embarrassment of being fooled, we are only seeing the proverbial tip of the iceberg of what is likely a widespread problem, as the majority of victims opt not to come forward.

But is this a relationship problem or a money problem (or perhaps a bit of both).
