  • HTE 302: A Conversation About Taking Action | Rachael McCrary

My guest today is a fashion designer, intimate apparel expert, and an entrepreneur.

As a true serial entrepreneur, my guest (as you will hear) has been hustling and starting businesses since she was a kid.

After spending some time in the fashion industry, my guest founded Charmed, a junior undergarment company. Charmed was acquired by Maidenform in 2011.

In 2014, my guest founded Jewel Toned, a lingerie and shapewear product developer, designer, and manufacturer. In March 2014, Jewel Toned received seed round funding of $185k and in March of 2015, they received their second round at $600k.

  • HTE 301: Entrepreneurship as a Creative Endeavour | Nick Ruffini

My guest today is a media producer, drummer, and entrepreneur.

He grew up in the family restaurant business but had the urge to set out on his own. Since he was 17 years old, my guest made his way as a professional musician —recording and touring.

In 2011, he went back into the restaurant business — this time with his brother.

Then in 2013, he went back to music and started a podcast called Drummer’s Resource. In the past three years, my guest was transformed Drummer’s Resource into a full-fledged media platform — including a podcast, blog, and social — with entertaining, inspiring and lifestyle-focused content for drummers.

My guest today is a marketer, ever-evolving and learning CEO, and serial entrepreneur.

At the age of 15, he raised $120,000 to start a software company. The company did ok, but eventually it fizzled and then failed. So, he went to college, dropped out, and eventually graduated.

Then in 2013, he co-founded Leadpages. Today, Leadpages has well over 100 employees, and 10s of 1000s of customers. They’ve also raised $38 million in venture capital.

In the conversation, you will hear how he runs Leadpages while only knowing what he’s doing about 25% of the time. And we talk about laddering up, and how to use it to start and grow your business.

  • HTE 295: [Going Deep] The Entrepreneurial Myth | Michael Gerber

In today’s episode we are going deep into the Entrepreneurial Myth — AKA the E-Myth.

My guest is an innovator, best-selling author of 29 books, and an entrepreneur.

His book, The E-Myth, was named by The Wall Street Journal as the #1 business book of all time. It is also the most discussed book ever on Hack the Entrepreneur, and one of my personal favorites.

The E-Myth just celebrated it’s 40 year anniversary, and in honor of it, my guest is releasing his final book in the E-Myth series — this one is entitled, Beyond the E-Myth.

I had a bunch of questions and a solid plan for this interview, but in our pre-interview conversation, my guest told me he was tired of answering interview questions, so said throw them all out and let’s just have a conversation and see what we can get to.

My guest was exactly my age when he started building his business empire, this is what happens when two people 40 years apart talk entrepreneurship and business. I hope you enjoy it.

    Now, let’s go deep with…
