Jon Stamell, founder and CEO of Oomiji has 35+ years of experience in market research and customer engagement, strategic planning, and marketing, brand management, image enhancement, e-commerce, and multi-media. As founder of Oomiji, he developed a process for matching individual customer insights with communications and content specific to every customer’s interests, needs, and perceptions, including the language they use.
Oomiji specializes in the aspirational luxury space where Millennials and Gen Z consumers are replacing Baby Boomers as the primary customers. He formerly was CEO of an international advertising and PR firm. In his past work, Jon advised the governments of Chile, Greece, Norway, South Africa, Spain, and Vietnam on image development, trade associations, and brands in the same countries and in Costa Rica, France, Romania, and the U.S. in consumer and luxury goods, food and beverage, wine and spirits, tourism development, and information technology.
He received his B.A. from the University of Michigan, did graduate work at Harvard University’s Yenching Institute, and received an M.B.A. from the University of Maine. He has also served on the Leadership Council of the National Small Business Association and Small Business Technology Council. He is an avid skier, sailor and hiker residing both in New York and Maine.
