In Pursuit of Passion

Jon Watts - I discovered cooking whilst in prison

Listen Later

Have you struggled to take responsibility for your passion? Do you find it challenging to follow what you want rather than what others expect? Has there been a time when you got lost pursuing your passion?

For the fourth episode of this great podcast, we were joined by online cooking sensation Jon Watts to speak about his passion for cooking.

Jon didn't have the best of starts where he didn't know what to do in his early years. This feeling of being lost directed him down the wrong path, where he ended up in prison at 18. Yet, his time in prison was when he discovered his passion for cooking, all thanks to the Duke of Edinburgh award. Jon's tenacity was born thanks to this special award, leading to him working with Jamie Oliver. He worked in the kitchens for several years but has decided to take his passion to the next level. Jon decided to go alone by opening a food truck, has gotten big on social media, and has appeared on ITV's This Morning. He also goes into schools and prisons to tell his story and to motivate those not to give up.

In this episode, we covered what life was like in prison for Jon, how to go it alone and to use vision boards to your advantage.
