Jonah was a man on the run. While he was God's prophet, he ran from God's instruction to go to Ninevah. He did not believe the people of Ninevah deserved God's rescue. All kinds of trouble followed Jonah. Yet, even in Jonah's disobedience, God was drawing Jonah and the Ninevites to Himself. Are we the same? Who do we believe is undeserving of God's goodness. Our neighbor? A remote tribe in a far off country? Thank God for working in our own hearts and constantly bringing us to new levels of the expanse of His great love for the WORLD.
