Jonathan Bender of Recommended Daily and Flatland KC joins us this time to talk about a very cool podcast series and event called, "Mixtapes & Mixology” which pairs a song from 4 KC bands with 4 KC bartenders who create a cocktail based on the song. The podcast then culminates with an event at Californos on Thursday, September 15. We’ll hear music from 3 of the 4 acts involved: IVØRY BLACK, Yes You Are and BLKFLANL. We’ll also talk about BravoKC: Kauffman Center Turns Five, Live! and hear music from The Kansas City Symphony and Calvin Arsenia, both are part of the amazing FREE event at Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts on first Friday, September 2.
