Of all the great men in the Old Testament, none foreshadow and prefigure our Lord Jesus Christ more closely than Jacob’s favorite son Joseph. His righteousness put him in a pit. And then in a prison. But in the end, it promoted him to a palace!
“The journeys of Joseph and Jesus are both marked by betrayal, suffering, and eventual triumph. Joseph’s sale into slavery led to his rise as a ruler in Egypt, where he saved many lives during a time of famine.
