In the beginning, there was a crime committed against God’s holiness. When the Devil wanted all the worship for himself, sin not only happened in heaven, but it also happened on earth through Adam. This was such a violation of God that hell was created for the devil and all of his angels. It was through all of this that sin entered the world and mankind was separated from God. In order to reconnect mankind to Himself, God sent Jesus into the world to pay it all by dying on the cross. When Jesus died on the cross He paid our past, present, and future sin making sin no longer an issue with God. If we are in Jesus, God does not judge us based on the sin we commit today. Ephesians 2:8-9 says, “For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast.” It is by grace through faith that we are saved and not by our own works. In this sermon, Joseph Z explains the process of our sin being covered by grace and then what all it is that our salvation entails.
