“What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin that grace may abound? Certainly not!” Romans 6:1-2 (NKJV) This is a question that Paul was asked many times when he was preaching the message of grace because grace reveals what it is truly in a person’s heart. In order to reconnect mankind to Himself, God sent Jesus into the world to pay it all by dying on the cross. When Jesus died on the cross He paid our past, present, and future sin making sin no longer an issue with God. If we are in Jesus, God does not judge us based on the sin we commit today. Ephesians 2:8-9 says, “For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast.” It is by grace through faith that we are saved and not by our own works.
