Hola amigos || Hello friends
Para mí es todo un placer iniciar de este modo, en el Hive Music Festival en donde estuve la oportunidad de participar en un evento que se realizó en la ciudad de Cumaná – Venezuela. Desde ese momento me entusiasmé mucho en querer participar y conocer más de esta gran colmena.

Este es mi primer video en la blog, y es un verdadero honor para mí estar aquí enseñándoles mi música y mi manera tocarla. Poco a poco iremos conociéndonos y me emociona mucho la idea. Estoy ansioso de leer sus comentarios y consejos para seguir creciendo en esta maravillosa familia.

En mi primer video les comparto una canción muy conocida por los Venezolanos incluso por varios países de Latino América Y Europa compuesta por el músico Venezolano Hugo Blanco. Esta canción fue una de las primeras que me aprendí en el Cuatro ya que escuchaba siempre a mi Abuela y mi Papa cantándolas. Yo quería aprendérmela y poder acompañarlos yo en el cuatro y ellos cantando. La busque, la copie en un cuadernito que tenía para aquel entonces y así practicaba el acompañamiento de esta canción para poder tocar y que mi abuela cantara.
In my first video I share with you a song very well known by Venezuelans and even by several countries in Latin America and Europe composed by the Venezuelan musician Hugo Blanco. This song was one of the first songs I learned in the Cuatro since I always listened to my grandmother and my father singing it. I wanted to learn it and be able to accompany them on the cuatro and them singing it. I looked it up, copied it in a little notebook I had at the time and practiced the accompaniment of this song so I could play it and have my grandmother sing it.
Con el tiempo me aprendí la canción como cuatro Solista que es la versión que hoy les interpretaré en esta primera ronda del festival. Esta versión si me costó un poco más aprenderla porque era difícil para mí tocar como solista pero eso la hacía interesante. A medida que la iba practicando le agregaba cosas, floreos, acordes, diferentes adornos para así hacerla algo más interesante y diferente. Por eso me gusta tocarla como con ritmo de orquídea ya que me da espacio para hacer repiques y hasta un mambo. Me gusta mucho la melodía como la letra de esta canción espero les guste.
Eventually I learned the song as a cuatro soloist, which is the version that I will perform today in this first round of the festival. This version took me a little longer to learn because it was difficult for me to play as a soloist but that made it interesting. As I was practicing it I added things to it, flourishes, chords, different ornaments to make it more interesting and different. That's why I like to play it like an orchid rhythm because it gives me room to do repiques and even a mambo. I really like the melody as well as the lyrics of this song, I hope you like it.
