When an employee tells Josh Gampel, the CEO of Recruitics, that he or she is leaving the agency, he may go out and celebrate with them. Sometimes he's happy that they have been able to use the skills they learned at Recruitics to find another job; sometimes he's happy that someone who wasn't a good fit for his company has found a work situation that may be a better fit. On this episode of The Lorne Epstein Show, Gampel says he believes in "purpose" on the job. "I think purpose is the key driver of everything we do." Recruitics is a recruitment marketing agency that specializes in using data and analytics to help companies recruit more effectively by giving them a better idea of how effective their ads are. He says, "When we started the company there was a vision and a mission and a hope that we were going to become something that could make a meaningful difference." Gampel also gets great satisfaction out of watching Recruitics employees stay with the company and advance in their careers. As an added episode bonus, Gampel and Lorne discuss some of their favorite movies.
