She says CareerArc’s aims is to help companies automate “where a human doesn’t really need to exist.”

George LaRocque, the founder and Principal Analyst for HR WINS, reports on workforce trends and technology innovations. LaRocque is a market analyst who advises clients on the latest HR trends and technologies and publishes HRWins Research, which reports on workforce trends and innovations in technology. He has worked in human capital management for more than 25 years.

You’ve just been offered your dream job. The pay and benefits are good but the last question you have is what it is like to work at that company. What do you do? David Rivel, co-founder of PathMotion, figured the best messengers are company employees. PathMotion is a platform that allows prospective employees to interact with current employees to learn about the workplace. PathMotion’s worldwide clients include large companies such as Citi, Deloitte, Coca-Cola and McDonalds, as well as small companies.

Andrew Gadomski saw a problem he didn’t like, so in 2006 he founded Aspen Analytics (then known as Aspen Advisors) to help recruiters stop wasting time on data analytic tools they didn’t understand. Gadomski is the Managing Director and Chief Advisor of the analytics and workplace strategy firm that works with large corporations around the world. The Wall Street Journal calls on him regularly for his expertise on global employment and labor issues, and he is often asked to speak at conferences worldwide

Torin Ellis works with companies around the world on diversity and inclusion. He is host of “Career Mix”, a weekly show on XMSirius, and runs a “progressive” boutique firm. Ellis says he wants to make sure companies look at D&I across all departments, including talent acquisition, logistics, supply chain, corporate governance and accounting.

Workplace storyteller and industrial-organizational Psychologist, Abby Cheesman spends her days leading the team at Skill Scout to bring jobs to life on video Abby believes that every workplace has a special story to tell and she tells those stories to attract the right candidates for the job. Abby geeks out on new media, virtual reality, point of view videos, silent storytelling, data & analytics, and product development for Skill Scout's do it yourself video app and client happiness.

Lauryn Sargent loves a good story. In 2011 she co-founded Stories Incorporated, a marketing firm that helps companies recruit by using stories told by the company’s employees. Sargent says the key is to get employees to talk about “moments that matter,” such as the moment the employee realized they made the right decision to work at that company.

Josh Gampel, the CEO of Recruitcs, believes we seek “purpose…in everything we do” and believes employees are happier and are better employees when they have a job with a purpose that takes them beyond the contractual obligations of their work. Recruitics is a recruiting marketing agency that helps companies understand how effective their help wanted ads are by using data and analytics. Gampel and Lorne also spend some time discussing their favorite movies.
