In this week’s lesson from Joshua Chapter 11, we read about how the Israelites defeated the Northern kingdoms of Canaan land. One thing we have continued to remind ourselves is that God is a just and patient God. He had given the people of Canaan over 400 years to repent. Leviticus Chapter 18 tells us what they had been doing for the past 400 years - incest, bestiality, sacrificing their own children, etc. God used the Israelites to bring judgment to Canaan land. This was ‘judgement day’ for the people living in Canaan land. The Israelites, in destroying them all, were doing just what God told them to do. We also should remember that was a different time and a mandate for them. In our day and time God will never tell you to attack those who are not Christians or who don’t believe the way we do. God will be their judge at the end of the age. What can we learn from this lesson? That judgement day is coming and we want to make sure we have given our hearts to the Lord before that day comes. It is not God’s will that any should perish (2 Peter 3:9). Therefore, He has given us this time of grace to surrender our lives to Him. Please don’t wait until it’s too late to give your heart to Him. You have His ear, simply say ‘Father I repent of my sins, asking you to forgive me, come into my heart and be my Lord and Savior’. If you sincerely say that simple prayer, God will hear you and come into your heart changing your life forever. #foryou #joshua #promisedland #isrealites #warfare #christian #victory #chariots #horses #foryourpage @readingthroughthebiblewith3242
