In this episode from Joshua Chapters 11:21 - 13:22, we read about all the kings that were defeated by the Israelites. We also began to see how they divided up the land between the 12 tribes. One takeaway from the book of Joshua is that this book records ‘judgement day’ for the Canaanites, and records ‘promises fulfilled" for the Israelites. As we reviewed Genesis 12:1-3, 5, 7 and Genesis Chapter 15:5, 12-16, 18, we see some of the promises God made to Abraham being fulfilled in the book of Joshua. God is giving them Canaan land as he promised Abraham over 400 years before Joshua was born. Also in the book of Joshua the Amorites (Canaanites) are experiencing their "judgement day" (Gen. 15:16). God keeps all of His promises.
