In this episode we read about how they finally finished dividing up the land. We also read in Chapter 20 about the 6 cities of refuge created to protect anyone who accidentally killed somebody. These cities of refuge are a type of Jesus who is our city of refuge. Jesus is even greater than these cities because he accepts the guilty! He died on the cross for us, took our punishment, and declared us ‘not guilty’. Jesus is also our High Priest. Because He lives forever, we continue to receive His protection as long as we stay in Him.
