Dr. Joe Jenkins is a doctor, lawyer, entrepreneur and Co-Founder/President of EHOP Health. He entertains us with his journey and the joy in embracing failures throughout his life. Dr. Joe takes us on a journey of a few of his meaningful failures beginning in 8th grade...don’t worry, he is able to tell all of his stories in less than 30 minutes! Dr. Joe quickly displays his honesty by telling us the story of how he flunked out of the University of Virginia with a 0.4 GPA, but didn’t allow that failure to derail or discourage him. He transferred to UNC-CH to major in pre-med and by aligning with his true purpose, he achieved a 4.0!!

  • Ep. 2 Erica Nelson On Living Life Fully Aligned

What a treat we have with our next guest, Erica Nelson.  You’ll hear how Erica strives to live a life in full alignment with who she is called to be and what really matters to her. When it comes to the current affairs of the world, Erica practices awareness, intentionality and compassion to keep all aspects of health and wellbeing being front and center for her clients, her community, her family and herself.

Before becoming a Duke University Trained Integrative Health Coach and a part of the EHOP health team, she advocated for important policy changes to improve the system of behavioral and hospital care across North Carolina. She has also seen and experienced, first-hand, the gaps and roadblocks that occur on the clinical side. The stories of her patients and colleagues are at the core of her decision to step back and look at health and the true meaning of living life from a different lens... a wide-angle lens that prioritizes her own values in her actions and deeply respects the values that drive others actions. Her favorite experience is witnessing another person discovering their personal truth.

Throughout the podcast, Erica inspires us to discover our own definition of integrity based on our unique life experiences! Learn more about her practice at www.ehophealth.com/ericanelson

  • Ep. 1 Making Courageous Changes with Cheryl Borchardt

Today's guest is Cheryl Bochardt, a fellow National Board (NBHWC) Functional Medicine Health Coach, a Journey 2 Health Coach and a Mom of 4 beautiful kids herself!

Cheryl’s story will give you hope and inspire you to take action as she shares some of the small, simple steps that she’s implemented on her personal journey to lifelong health. Cheryl’s journey was a windy road that began in childhood as she suffered silently from migraines, anxiety, and gut infections.  Her health challenges followed her through adulthood battling rosacea, kidney stones, migraines, and more gut issues.  However, with the help of an integrative doctor and her own experimentation she saw how good nutrition can be more powerful than any prescription medication she had tried.

Cheryl was determined to learn and implement this new way of living but had always wished she had a supportive coach in her corner so she didn’t have to suffer alone.  This personal experience brought her into the realm of health coaching as an occupation and she’s never looked back.  She’s a courageous soul and you’ll be inspired to follow some of her tips plus take action on your own health journey. Don’t miss the end as she shares her wise health tip for us to try!
