In this episode of Chini ya Mbuyu, we are joined by Emma, an Air Traffic Controller at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, who shares her journey to where she is today. 

After university, Emma began her career as a trainee with hopes of working in the hospitality industry. When those plans shifted, she explored opportunities in construction before eventually finding her path in aviation — a field where women remain underrepresented. 

Through her story, Emma reflects on resilience, navigating uncertainty, and the importance of pursuing opportunity even when the path is unclear. 

Her journey reminds us that when women are supported to pursue their ambitions, rights and opportunity begin to translate into action.
