The Resurrection, without out it our Faith is in vain. One of Jesus’ main purposes on earth was to conquer death, and those who believe in Him would be changed at his coming and be transformed. As we continue our series in The Story we reach the life of Jesus. During his time here on Earth Jesus had many interaction with people that would forever change the way we view God. One encounter was with Nicodemus, a religious teacher. Nicodemus visited Jesus in the middle of the night to avoid ridicule from other but Jesus shares with him one of the most talked about portion of scripture John 3:16.

As we continue our series of The Story we reach the New Testament. This portion of scripture begins with our introduction to The Messiah. For centuries the nation of Israel believed in a promise given by God that a Savior would arise from among the people and save them. This Savior was not just an ordinary man but was Emmanuel, God is with us, and would change the course of humanity forever.

What kind of legacy do you want to leave behind? How do you want people to remember you? Do you believe God can do the impossible through you? After being in exile the nation of Israel was allowed to return home. However the walls of the Jerusalem had been destroyed. God placed it in Nehemiah’s heart to rebuild the city walls and God used an ordinary man to do the impossible.

As we continue The Story series we come to the book of Esther. The nation of Israel had come under the rule of the Persians. During this time Israel was at relative peace, but the safety was short lived. A man by the name of Haman sought to wipe out the entire people of Israel. Yet even with a royal command to destroy Israel a God uses a queen to save His people.

During times of great turmoil how do we respond to God? With question? Anger? Worship? As the nation of Israel returned home The Temple king Solomon had built was destroyed. Through divine intervention God allowed the people to return and rebuild The Temple. When they faced opposition they worshipped God with their work and lives. Arron Chambers shares with us how we can learn from Israel when we face trials.

Ecclesiastes 4:12 (esv) reads as follows "...though a man might prevail against one who is alone, two will withstand him—a threefold cord is not quickly broken." As a group we can accomlish and withstand many things that as a single person would be impossiable.
