Pastor John Vick concludes our Disciple Series with the continuation of "How to become a Disciple of Jesus". His text is based out of the Book of John Chapter 8 beginning in verse 23. This is where Jesus explains about the Truth of the Word and how it will make you free. Be Encouraged and remember to make a difference in the lives of others!

John 8:31-32

31So Jesus was saying to those Jews who had believed Him, "If you continue in My word, then you are truly disciples of Mine;

32and you will know the truth, and the truth will make you free."

In this message, Pastor Eric defines our role in living the Kingdom of God here on Earth. The Bible teaches us that the Kingdom of God is righteousness, peace, and joy in the Holy Spirit! In Part 6 of the Disciple Series, I share the two most important commandments in all of the 613 laws according to Jesus Himself. They are found in Matthew 22:37-39 NLT

37 Jesus replied, “‘You must love the LORD your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your mind.’ 38 This is the first and greatest commandment. 39 A second is equally important: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’

Loving our neighbors isn't always easy, but it is what the Lord demands of us. Breaking Bread with others is an amazing way to build the Kingdom of God as the Disciples demonstrated in Acts Chapter 2.

They devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching and to the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer. Acts 2:42

Part 4 of the Disciple Series. In this message, Pastor Bryan highlights the life of the Apostle Paul before and after his Encounter with Christ on the Road to Damascus. The Apostle Paul is a great example of what happens to a Christ Follower when they stand for what they believe. Be encouraged by this message and know with the Great Commission comes Great Persecution. Count it a blessing to suffer for the name of Jesus.

This message is centered around the Apostle Peter and his various encounters with God. Peter first meets the Christ on the Sea shores of Galilee. Just a few years later Peter and many others encounter the Holy Spirit in Acts Chapter 2 filling them to overflowing. The Apostle Peters ministry would never be the same. With boldness and power he shared the Gospel of Jesus and many were added to the church daily.

In this message Pastor Eric shares about what it takes to go from being a follower in God's kingdom to being a leader in God's kingdom. As the message closes the congregation is encouraged to live out Acts 20:24 - But my life is worth nothing unless I use it for doing the work assigned me by the Lord Jesus the work of telling others the Good News about God's wonderful kindness and love.

In this message Pastor Eric begins a message series that we hope will supercharge your faith.

This first message highlights some of the stages disciples go through: from seeking to believing, from believing to following, and from following to leading. Pastor challenges the listener to see where they sit in the spectrum, pray to God, and dive deeper into the next levels of their faith.

We are thrilled to announce that Bryan and Renee Lamoureux will be joining the Journey Church team as Co-Pastors of the church.

We have known Bryan and Renee for a couple of years now and there is no doubt our hearts for grass roots ministry are knit together. There is nothing we love more than crazy outreaches to see people come to know Jesus.

Bryan and Renee bring a unique gift set of being some of the areas foremost worship leaders combined with Bryan's incredible skill set as a teacher of God's word.

Our gift sets should compliment eachother well. We plan on sharing much of the teaching load. Bryan will be focusing more on the service experiences and I will be focusing on leadership and other behind the scenes stuff.

Both our families know that we have been called to North East Florida for such a time as this and look forward to serving God together for a very long time.
