How To Series

In June, churches around the world are joining forces to share resources, serve our communities, and give to a meaningful cause, One Prayer. This month, Journey Church will partner with over 1500 churches from around the world, as well as right here in our own community through an event called One Prayer 2009.

Last year, church leaders from around the world conveyed powerful messages through video teaching and more than two million individuals experienced growth together. One Prayer churches partnered to make a lasting difference in the world through an ambitious mission initiative; planting 660 new churches in Cambodia, India, Sudan, and China in 18 months.

This year is no different, as we explore the attributes of God through the teaching theme, "God Is _____." We will fill in that statement this summer as we discover more of who God is and we will have the opportunity to live out what we are learning together. Here at Journey, we have always believed that serving our community opens hearts and doors. Serving is not an event; it is a culture. It is actively pursuing the lost, the forgotten, and poor to show them a God who is passionately in love with them. On June 7th, we have 9 team groups that will go out and impact our community by serving in very strategic and meaningful ways; 2 groups to the Montgomery Zoo, 3 groups to local retail stores, 1 group to the Prattville Hospital and 3 groups to local parks. We will meet at the Worship Center at 1pm. Be praying about your part in helping with One Prayer 2009.
