The entirety of the physical life of Christ on this earth serves as the ultimate example to each of us. It was not just the death, burial and resurrection that was a gift, it was the way he demonstrated love for the Father and others that serves as a gift to us as well.

God has given each of us a certain amount of time, certain gifts and certain financial provision so that we can use it to serve others so that they may be pointed back to him.

God has given us the gift of generosity to make us more life Jesus. Giving to others helps us physically practice trusting in God rather than our riches or our materialistic things.

The greatest generosity ever demonstrated was Jesus' sacrifice of His own life for us.
