Here are some journal prompts for processing or addressing triggers. Remember healing doesn’t happen overnight. By journaling whenever you can and doing healing work the triggers will be less painful when faced each time.
1. What happened?
2. What specific emotions am I feeling?
3. Where or who did these negative emotions stem from?
4. When in your life have you felt this way before?
5. What am I doing to cope? (Ex. Journaling, counseling, calling a close friend, creative outlets like art, music, dancing)
