Journey Through the Dreamscape

Episode 11: Poetic Dreams, A Eulogy, & Overcoming Fear and Anxiety with SJ

Welcome to Journey Through The Dreamscape with me, Angelina Young!

For this week's episode, we have SJ joining us!

SJ is a poet from Jersey City who likes to create soundscapes in his work, incorporating various voices to make a more performative piece. His poem "Petulance" was a shortlisted selection for the University of Grimsby's Hammond House International Poetry Competition.

He is actively involved in the poetry community, moderating a weekly online poetry workshop with Jersey City Writers and co-producing the 2023 Jersey City Poetry Festival last summer. He is currently working on this year's festival. He lives in Jersey City Heights with his wonderful wife, 2 daughters, and 5 cats.

In this episode, we explore how SJ sees the world! We learn about his eulogy dream that turned into a poem and hear his thoughts about the healing art of poetry. We also discuss fear, anxiety, and ancestral trauma. I’m so excited for all of you to join us!

This episode also features another dream pull! Listen in to hear if your anonymous slip got pulled this week!

I wish all of you a wonderful week and I thank you so so soooooo much for listening and supporting me on this journey!

Please let me know what you think about the podcast!

You can leave feedback, questions, and episode ideas on my website! You’ll also find a tab to sign up for dream interpretations privately or to be featured on this podcast.

Episode 10: Witchcraft and Dreams! Santeria, Brujeria, Taboos, & Substances with Aurelia Luciano

Welcome to Journey Through The Dreamscape with me, Angelina Young!

For this week's episode, we have Aurelia Luciano joining us!

Aurelia is a Dominican American poet, community event host/curator, caregiver, and single mother.

We dive into Witchcraft, Santeria, Brujeria, and other religions. We discuss taboos in the hope of breaking the silence that so many of us cling to.

She talks about her experiences growing up and how she dreams. I share tales from my childhood that have pushed me toward this beautiful path I’m currently on. We talk about substance abuse and how it can impact dreaming and provide herbal remedies to bring about good dreams.

You will hear me share my poem called Introspection at the beginning of the podcast and have the blessing of hearing Aurelia’s poem Bruja Turns Christian at the end of the episode!

I also share an update on how my week has been!

I had my phone stolen and found a mysterious black crystal in my bag. If you’re curious about that, listen to the beginning!

This episode also includes another anonymous dream pull! The mystery person shared a beautiful dream about a giraffe. So listen to the beginning to hear about it!

Please let me know what you think about the podcast!
