In this episode my interviewees talk about August 9, 1017, the day Canada became a nation, the Wellington Tunnels where 24,000 Brit soldiers hid during the war to surprise the Germans, and other sites and experiences in a unique destination of France.

I travel to Holland and Germany interviewing Dutch people at the Holten Canadian Cemetery where he is buried. Then I go to Sogel Germany and am able to find the spot where he was killed in action, and where he was first buried before repatriation to Holten. An emotional but amazing experience. Interviews with many people illuminate a tremendous story of our soldiers, and the Holland people.
