In this message Pastor Rod begins Chapter 2 of his exposition of the Book of Philippians. This message is about Spiritual Unity and exactly what it means to to have the same mind as a member of the Body of Christ.  

JOY is obtainable in the face of death and in the midst of living life in this flesh. This life is hard and comes with many ups and downs. Philippians 1 shows us in the life & writings of the Apostle Paul that JOY is possible when we are facing the final enemy of death and JOY in this journey no matter what life may throw our way.  

In this episode we will see that life is full of trouble and drama. Trouble comes concerning circumstances and drama comes concerning people. In both trouble & drama it is imperative as Christ Followers that we maintain our JOY. Yes, it is possible to have JOY in the midst of life's challenges. Philippians 1 shows exactly how through the life and writings of the Apostle Paul.  

This episode is an introduction and overview of the book of Philippians. It also contains a brief theology of JOY, being that The Book of Philippians is considered the epistle of JOY. 

Philippians 1:9-11
God desires all of His children to abound in love more and more in all knowledge and discernment so that they can  approve of the thin gs that are excellent. Growing in Love this way leads to being blameless and without offense so that we can manifest good works with the right motives. All of this is for the glory of God!
