Fun question: What do you want to be when you grow up?

Read Philippians 3:12 - 4:1

1. Do you have uncertainty about your future? When you think about it, what thoughts, feelings or emotions do you experience?

2. In the past, have you ever considered your purpose in life? What did you think it was?

3. In the teaching it was said that staying true to the Lord should be our purpose and no matter what our future holds that we can find Joy in that Purpose. How would you describe or define staying true to the Lord in the life of a believer? How does that line up with your life? What needs to change?

4. In the teaching there were 4 life journey realizations of Paul’s.

• I’m not perfect. But Jesus is.

• I’m far from the goal. But I’m still going for it.

• I haven’t arrived. But I will.

• I don’t know my future. But I know my purpose.

Can you relate to any of these? Do they provide assurance for you in your journey?

5. Read Philippians 3:17. Can you say to others that when it comes to staying true to the Lord to follow your example or to pattern their lives after yours? Take a moment and ask God to show you how you can do that.
