What is joy? Can you have joy without happiness? What does it mean to store joy up and become a Joy Millionaire? We talk all about this today, my friend Jeanette and I! 

Jeanette is a podcast host, author, speaker, and friend who loves all things friends, laughter, and a good cup of coffee. Her heart beats for people to be heard, valued, and never alone no matter what stage of life they find themselves in. Whether that be through navigating friendships, figuring out faith, raising a family, or life as an entrepreneur. She wants to be the internet friend who encourages people to walk through it! 

She has been my internet friend for years and having her on the podcast was a big thing for me! I loved having her share all about being a joy millionaire and giving us practical strategies that help us to bank up joy! Here are a few of my big takeaways: 

• Create an ebenezer reminder of the joy God has given you
• Use images to remind yourself  how far the Lord has brought you
• Collect joy over time and look for it in everything
• Happiness leads to joy
• Remember that things get better, and if it doesn’t feel better yet- then God’s not done
• Figure out why you are feeling a certain way (ask leading questions)
• Tell a friend how you’re feeling, shedding light on it makes a major difference
• Be honest with yourself about how you are feeling
• Talk to the lord outloud, see the difference!
• Creating a folder of images in your phone that bring you joy and look at it when you’re feeling down
