Gossip seems to have become a normal part of many of our days. In both personal and professional settings, gossip seems to be present. There are various news networks, social media sites, and articles that are bit around gossip. More than often people tend to accept a rumor or gossip as the truth these days.

But what are the negatives of gossip. I mean you aren't the only person who gossiped, so what's the harm?

The reality is gossip is harmful and damaging. Although, we may think its a harmless and normal conversation, it can have long lasting consequences. In this episode I cover some of the consequences and how we can deal with gossip in our everyday life.

Is there any purpose to our personality? What does the bible say?

Often we think since other people can have similar personalities there must be no real significance. However, scripture tells us otherwise. We all have a divine and specified purpose, our personality were crafted to fit our purpose and ministry. There is nothing random about you, God took His time to give you certain traits and roles. Spiritual warfare is described as a battle between Christians and evil forces. These are typically the battle against enemies that we can not see. Many Christians deal with spiritual warfare more than they often realize. Yet, we often do not talk about it enough. In this episode we go over what spiritual warfare is and what the bible says about it. As well as the various symptoms of spiritual warfare that we may deal with. God is gracious enough to not only be by our side during spiritual battles but supply us with the key to getting through them.

Does the bible tell us to judge others? This is a question, that many Christians and non-christians have debated for many years. This is also something that many nonreligious people often call out Christians for. They often believe that Christians get up on a high horse and judge others as un-pure sinners. Unfortunately, there are too many instances where Christians judge others in a humiliating way with the wrong intentions. We often get overfilled with pride in thinking we are better because we are saved. We are not called to be above others, we were called to humbly serve the Lord and others.

Are you in a season of waiting for the Lord? Are you stuck in a situation that you can not get out of on your own? When Christians fall in situations like this, they may write out a prayer petition. Prayer petitions or supplications of prayer are written or said in times of need. Typically, when one is humbly begging the Lord to fulfill needs or come through in some type of way. This was something I was not as familiar with beforehand. After doing some research I realized this was something I wanted to try. In this episode, I cover my own experience with writing a prayer petition and the importance I found in it!

This episode is a part two and follow up to the previous episode What is your motivation? To further expand on the topic. Once we realize our motivation is not right, we should then move forward to correct it. But how do you correct your motivation?

If a person identifies with an ethnicity society has this weird expectations that this person must act like their ethnicity. If they do not they are labeled as not enough. For people who attend or grow up in predominantly white areas, this is a common frustration. In societies terms speaking "proper" means you sound white. Society continues to put black people in boxes and not wanting them to express themselves in individualistic ways. If you act "too Black" then you are deemed ghetto and ethnic. If you act "too white" you are not black. This topic could be written into a whole book series. It is a very frustrating situation to deal with. "Compliments" such as "you speak well" or "you are pretty for a black girl" are not compliments and they are rooted in racism. This is just my experience but I know its something many can relate to.

I am under qualified

It is impossible 

These are just a handful of the everyday lies that we believe and often tell ourselves. The enemy is sitting on your shoulder and spewing these lies. To the point where it begins to sound like your own voice and thoughts. When our pride is too high we begin to lack faith. If the faith of a mustard seed can move a mountain then why believe these lies. There is no limit to the capacity of God. Therefore if we focus our eyes on the possibilities of the Lord we can overcome even the highest of hurdles!

We know God is trustworthy. We know God has everything in control.

But, why does there seem to be this lingering sense of doubt? Why is it so hard to fully trust what we know and read in scripture?

Am I just a bad christian? Do I really know Jesus?

In this episode three common barriers that keep us from believing God are covered. The best way to overcome these barriers is to be aware of the roots of your doubt. As always scriptures are included that can help us to debunk any lies that keep us from the Lord.
