WEEK 5 QUESTIONS
1. Have you ever been through something that you felt a lot of shame over? Have you ever let yourself be vulnerable enough to share that situation with others? Did it help you to realize that you’re not alone?
2. The world is not changed by your opinion, it is changed by your example! Has anyone ever tried giving you advice while not living it out in their own life? How did that make you feel?
3. Have you ever witnessed someone handle a tough situation in their life in a way that helped you handle a similar situation in your life?
WEEK 4 QUESTIONS
1. We have to make people feel loved, valued, and significant in order to have influence in their lives. Has anyone ever mentored you by making you feel important? What qualities did they have that made them impactful in your life? (Ex. coach, teammate, co-worker, etc...)
2. We know that happiness is found in helping others! It helps us find joy and grow. Have you ever poured your life into someone else because you saw potential in them? What was the outcome?
3. Great mentors are patient people because people require patience. After listening to this week’s sermon and the podcast, is there any person or opportunity that comes to mind that you can invite into your life to pour into? (Remember: the greatest thing as a Christian is we are not mentoring people to become more like us, but mentoring them to become more like Jesus!)
WEEK 3 QUESTIONS
1. Were you influenced towards Jesus by someone that you are “interconnected” with? (i.e. family member, spouse, close friend, grandparent, etc.) What did they do that influenced your faith?
2. Is there anyone in your life that doesn’t follow Jesus that you feel you’ve lost the opportunity to influence? Why? (i.e. getting drunk with them, having a blow-up fight with them, shutting them out after a disagreement, etc.) What could you do now to begin to rebuild your influence with them?
3. Has this podcast or sermon series changed your perspective on how you can influence your close friends and family? How can you make a significant change to positively influence them?
The podcast currently has 13 episodes available.
