1) Have confidence to enter by the blood of Jesus (put confidence in the blood)

Q) Where do you get your confidence when you enter into worship? What is it that helps you feel ready to worship?

• your faithfulness this week? What about if you are unfaithful?

Confidence based on doing well or discounting yourself after doing badly...are both wrong!

We are to put 100% confidence in the blood of Jesus, 0% in ourselves - Hebrews 9:26 this blood is his sacrifice

Do not worship in the framework of a lie; emotionally it’s hard because sin is personal - Pray myself into his presence.

2) Have confidence to enter the Holy place (Not church/small group)!

• Where the manifest glory of God dwelt, you couldn’t enter...you would die!

Hebrews 9:24 Christ has entered not into places made with hands which are copies, but into heaven itself!

• Jesus went there on my behalf; so that I could be there! Physically I’m here...spiritually I’m there!!

Exodus; stay away, this is holy...Hebrews; draw near!!

3) v22 let us draw near with a true heart with full assurance of faith - Are we not near already? There is something specific about drawing near intentionally (Simon and his daughter)

• intentionally draw close, look him on the eye, recognise his presence – Isaiah 54:9 - I will not be angry with you.

When we draw near to God he has so much for us - you can have as much of God as you want.
