*Disclaimer* In chapter 10, there is a description of butchering an animal for food. It is not overtly graphic, just uncomfortable. It starts at 15:17 and ends at 20:12. The discussion of the actual deed however, starts at the beginning of chapter 10; so if you don't want to hear any of it, skip to 20:12. A brief summary: the butcher doesn't arrive on time and Arabella gets impatient and asks Jude to do it. Jude does it in a way which he thinks is humane, Arabella yells at him for "botching" the job and making the meat worth less money.
