Weird Sounding Dude's "Arcade" EP on Juicebox Music, released earlier this year, received high acclaim and praises by his industry peers, thanks to the unique & versatile sounds that he's cemented as his new signature. The ongoing success subsequently lead to his music being released on Toronto's Deep House imprint - Dream Culture, Montreal based - Strange Town Recordings and Norman H's fantastic - Stripped Recordings, with more on it's way. We revisited the "Arcade" EP and gave it a sonically wide-range remix treatment from - Subandrio, Terje Saether, Esensides, Nomad In The Dark, Pro4ound and an alternate mix from Weird Sounding Dude himself.

The ‘Esensides' duo from Greece, Vasilis Alexiou aka Billy Alex & Vaggelis Tasoudis, also returns back to the imprint after 2 years. Within that timespan, they've put music out on Antrim's - Or Two Strangers, John Johnson's - ICONYC and DJ Zombi's - Beat Boutique. The Esensides interpretation of "Spectral Sculpt" delves into the deeper, darker yet edgier space with a few ear-worm surprises in between.

Next, we head up to the Scandinavian territory and bring in ‘Terje Saether' from Oslo (Norway) to remix "Boundless", whilst making his debut on Juicebox Music. An underdog in many ways, but no stranger to fan-folk, Terje's music has appeared on Nick Warren's - Hope Recordings, John Digweed's - Bedrock Records and even Silicone Soul's - Darkroom Dubs, to name a few. His monstrous ten & a half minute remix of "Boundless" transcends the conventionally modern styles & arrangement, paying homage to the classic progressive-house era, with bits of acid for kicks.

From the gorgeous island of Sri Lanka comes 'Subandrio', who makes another return to the label after his own "Lost in Sigirya" EP and his collaborative "The Basement" EP with Nishan Lee. His latest string of releases (ranging from his remixes on J00F Recordings, Proton Music & Balkan Connection as well as his massive EP on Sudbeat Music) has been a testament to his much sought-after demand. Subandrio picks up "Blue In Grey" and gives it his dark (yet momentarily light), heavy & driving touch that we all know & love.

Janko Dragovic is no stranger to Juicebox Music. After making his initial appearance, as one half of Progress Inn, for a remix of Blusoul’s “Depth of Emotion”, Janko makes his return to the imprint with a 2-track EP through his solo project - Desaturate. His self-released album - ‘False Dichotomies’ depicted his broad musical taste ranging from chill-hop, breaks, lo-fi house to even liquid drum & bass. In his own words - “A concept for an album that would portray a slightly different side to my productions and show that many differences that people squabble about are all part of the same beautiful spectrum of music that many of us see as one continuous experience. The album is a work of pure love and I have put all my heart, mind and soul into crafting it as I’ve recorded, written and mastered all the songs myself as well as taken care of photography and design of the artwork.” Back to the more dance-floor oriented space, we’ve seen Desaturate’s name attached to some incredible remixes as well as the rare singles & EPs, including the collaborative ones with the legendary Rick Pier O’Neil, comfortably finding their home on “Replug Records”, “Balkan Connection”, “Proton Music” & “Particles”, to name a few.

For his EP on Juicebox Music, Desaturate brings two powerful cuts to the table. The dark & mysterious tone on “Titan” is set by a deep yet rumbling bassline, carefully crafted aggressive percussion and a celestial atmosphere swirling around the top, leading to the breakdown where the mood gets enhanced by subtle yet effective melodic parts that eventually head straight back into the darkness. “Spite”, an apt B-side, is straight no-nonsense heads-down number focusing primarily on the heavy thumping groove with a slightly modulated drone bass assisting it’s progress, while the spacey effects orbit around.
