Julia Brown's Hurricane: Prophesy or Curse?

Julia Brown, a local "Voodoo Priestess" from Frenier Louisiana, sang a song with foreboding lyrics.

The song, which she sang quite often, warned that when she died, the whole town would "go" with her.

In September of 1915, a deadly hurricane hits Frenier on the day of Julia's funeral. The townspeople become terrified when they recall her song.

To this day, the question remains--was her song a prophesy of impending disaster, or was it a curse?
