Julian Assange has “paid his dues’  according to James Clapper, who served as director of US National intelligence in 2010, when WikiLeaks published a trove of classified military and intelligence documents.

For many in the US intelligence and law enforcement communities,  Julian Assange's plea of guilty to one count of espionage made the legal arrangement and his return to Australia palatable
